
Tučepi is a small coastal town near Makarska with rich tourist offer.Once upon a time, locals of that small village were traditionally engaged in olive growing. This tradition is still alive as evidenced by the olive oil cooperative. Nowadays, the development of Tučepi is focused mainly on tourism. The marina is located in the center of Tučepi. On both sides of the marina, long pebble beaches stretch into the distance. In this small town, visitors can explore rich archaeological sites, ethnological collection "Srida sela" and spend hot summer nights enjoying at Fishermen's nights, which are traditionally held for many years. Every year Tučepi hosts the gathering of "klapa" (traditional Dalmatian a capella bands) in Kaštelet accompanied by national TV and radio stations. Tourists can also spend time in hamlets around Tučepi taking part in the cultural event "Ka kultura". Along with a variety of summer activities, both tourists and hosts can explore the abundant underwater world if they decide to take scuba diving lessons. It is especially fun to stay in Tučepi on June 13, on the day of St.Ante, the patron of the town.
